Agentic is designed to be private by default. This page explains what the app does with your data.
What stays on your Mac
By default, Agentic runs a model locally on your own Mac (Ollama). In this mode nothing leaves your computer: your messages, your files, and your screen stays local.
Cloud providers
If you choose a cloud provider (Gemini, OpenRouter, Groq, OpenAI, OpenCode Zen, or a custom provider you configured), your messages — including the prompts and tool output used to answer you — are sent to that provider so it can generate a response. Each provider handles that data under its own privacy policy. Note that some of OpenCode Zen’s free models may use prompts to improve themselves during their free period.
Your API keys
API keys are stored on this Mac in Application Support/Agentic/settings.json and are sent only to the provider you chose. They are never sent anywhere else.
Conversations
Conversations are saved on your Mac in Application Support/Agentic/conversations.json as local files. You can reopen them in the sidebar, start a new conversation to clear the current one, or delete them anytime. They are never uploaded to a server.
Screen, files, commands, and browser
The app only looks at your screen, reads or writes files, runs commands, or browses the web when you ask it to, inside a conversation you started. Browser data (cookies, logins) is stored locally in the app's web session. It never does these things on its own.
What the app does not do
- No accounts, sign-ups, or profiles.
- No tracking, analytics, or telemetry in the app itself.
- No selling or sharing of any data.
- No advertising.
